2017 Ford EcoSport 0

The Ford EcoSport has been available for purchase since 2012. It is now four years on and the vehicle is undergoing a mid-cycle facelift. The compact SUV has been a huge hit in specific markets including China, India and South America. Of course the car will be adapted for different markets, but the general look and feel remains the same. With this being said, what can we learn about the 2017 Ford EcoSport from recent spy shot images?

Well there doesn’t seem to be too much change in regards to the exterior, but it is only early days and the camouflage hasn’t been removed just yet. There are very minute changes which can be seen however. These include changes to the front and rear bumper, new headlamps, a new grille and there also seems to be a change to the side panelling, but that is it. On the model tested, there was also a spare tyre on the back, but we expect that to be stripped off for the European market to give the vehicle a cleaner edge. There can most certainly be design cues taken as a comparison between the new EcoSport and the Ford Endeavour.

There will be multiple powertrains offered to consumers too. Ford will apparently  be offering a 1.0 litre three cylinder petrol engine, a 1.5 litre four cylinder petrol engine, a 1.5 litre four cylinder diesel engine and the possibility of a 1.5 litre natural aspiration petrol engine too.

The new Ford EcoSport is set for release towards the end of 2016. With the limited information we have available to us at the moment we are sure that it will be an extremely good seller, or at least we hope so anyway.
