The 2015 Mustang to be released in America 0
There will be an emphasis on fuel efficiency in one of the models, a term not usually associated with the power of the Mustang. The engine choices will come from a 4 cylinder engine, a V6 engine and a V8 engine. All of these engines will be capable of producing an enormous minimum of 300 BHP each. Never before has there been such a diverse choice of engines.
- 3.7-litre V6 – 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque
- 2.3-litre EcoBoost turbocharged 4-cylinder – 310 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque
- 5-litre V8 generates 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.
Experts have said that the younger market in the United States will want to buy a vehicle with a smaller engine, giving justification to its release. The smaller engine could however be targeted at different regions such as Asia and Europe.
It would make sense for Ford to target to younger generation. The current average age of Mustang buyers is now 48 in the United States. With a larger importance on technology and fuel economy, this would help target younger motorists.
A strong advertising campaign is being lined up. It will start running next month and run until Christmas, then start again after the holidays. A television and Social Media campaign is being planned. The fastback model will enter showrooms next month. The convertible, which will have a cloth roof, will arrive at the end of the year.
Demand higher in foreign markets
The sixth generation Mustang will be made in Michigan at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Right hand drive models will also be made in order to cater to different markets. Demand for the sixth generation Mustang has gone up from many major car markets throughout the world, including here in the UK.
The major enthusiasts of the car will be expected to buy the most model with the most powerful engine, the V8. America’s biggest seller is expected to be the base 3.7 litre V6.
