Personalisation To The Max 0

Personalisation-To-The-MaxThere has been a lot of talk surrounding the 2017 Ford GT. For those who are unaware, the car is already extremely popular after gaining huge fame from the extremely long application list. After the company announced that they will only be making 250 of the vehicles a year, order numbers became so high that Ford cleverly created an application process to ensure that those who wanted the vehicle ‘deserved’ it.

The release date for this highly sought after vehicle is getting closer and because of this, Ford is releasing more information. We can imagine that those lucky 250 out of 7000 plus applicants for 2017 are very happy at this moment in time.

The new GT is going to be an excellent vehicle, we all know that. But not only will it perform well it will also look amazing, especially with the new personalisation features. Ford has stated that they will be offering a choice of eight different exterior colours, including liquid blue (the GT’s launch colour). The brake callipers can be chosen in a customisable colour, racing stripes can be added and different paint finishes for the carbon fibre fittings will all be able to be chosen by the owner.

Ford is really pulling out the stops for the lucky 250, as the interior can also be customised too. Everything from the ribbing, to the stitching, to even the fabrics can be fully customised. Although Ford have a limited amount of colours and suggested packages, the customisable features really are extraordinary.

Barb Whalen, Ford’s design manager for colour and materials said that “we walked a fine line with the colour and materials in this vehicle – infusing energy through use of colour and balance while working to ensure the raw appeal of a performance car still shines through… Everything in the all-new Ford GT was intentionally designed to express ultimate performance.”

Although this is a really nice idea, we hope that no monstrosities are created as a result of customers being able to customise too much…
